Students achieve total-body conditioning (cardiovascular, strengthening, flexibility, weight-loss, toning) while gaining practical self-defense skills, greater mental focus, and stress-relief. Practice includes blocking, striking and kicking, throws, controls, chokes, ground-fighting, weapons, and meditation. Practicing the lowest to highest levels of self-defense, with emphasis on using the attacker's energy against them, makes the art ideal for men and women regardless of size or strength. Study also includes the principles and methods of Hatha and Raja Yoga.
Training is conducted in a safe, energizing, non-competitive atmosphere. Only methods that honor the health, function, and longevity of the body are utilized. New students can begin at any time. All students receive individual instruction from Head Instructors Christopher and Robyn Scafone.
