Martial arts training is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your child. Martial arts teaches discipline, self-control, confidence, concentration, character, and much more. Not all martial arts schools are the same. Be very selective in choosing a school for your son or daughter.
What are their credentials / experience? Do they seem honest and ethical? Do they enjoy teaching? What overall impact are these people going to have upon my child's development? Positive? Neutral? Negative?
Observe the Environment: Is the environment of the school safe, positive, healthy and motivating? How do the children and instructors interact with one another? Do people respect each other? Are students having fun? Is the curriculum age-appropriate? What is the overall message of the program? Positive? Neutral? Negative?
How many days a week is the school open? How often can my child actually attend?
What are the credentials and experience-level of the person who will actually be teaching my child's classes? Will my child receive direct instruction from head instructors?
The prospective school should have no problem giving you a clear understanding of all up front expenses associated with attending the school.
