Our practice of martial arts is rooted in personal growth and self-improvement. We believe that the spirit of partnership and cooperation should go beyond our practice on the mats, extending into all areas of our lives. To this end, we instituted our annual I.P.M.A. Food and Clothing Drive in 2003. From 2003 through 2008, donations went to the Salvation Army in Royal Oak. In 2009 and 2010, donations went to the South Oakland Shelter in Royal Oak. This year, donations will go to Guardian Angel, Saint Vincent DePaul in Clawson.
Over 400 items were collected in 2011, totaling 21,900 items over the past nine seasons. Congratulations to all who have given.
